Boiler Operations Maintenance Essentials

This course covers the fundamentals of utility steam plant control, operations, and

maintenance. The scope comprises the boiler and certain key ancillary systems such

as the steam and feedwater piping up to the steam turbine. The focus is on all

aspects of operations and maintenance required for assuring boiler service life,

performance and reliability, and personnel safety.

The course is for operators, from junior level to supervisors who require an

understanding of a broad range of boiler operations issues as part of their duties in

utility power plant. Other personnel concerned with plant O&M such as mechanical

and instrument technicians would also benefit from attending.
